Metamorphosis

It's begun! The process of turning a furry, dirty, winter snowball into a sleek, shiny summer coat has started--I can't wait until the process is over (all that flying hair is a bit abnoxious!), but I'm so thankful it has started! Now I just hope the grass starts turning green...look at the difference in these pictures--taken at about the same spot in the field (but from opposite angles...that is why there are only trees in one of the pictures)!

Are there any signs of spring around your house?

House Update (kinda)

Here are some pictures of the house from a couple weeks ago! Sorry--I'm still behind! This week they are sheeting the roof, starting the rough-in plumbing and starting to actually put the roof on! I can't wait until I can take a soak in the tub...only a few more months to go!

Engagement Session: Kent & Jessica

Saturday was a beautiful day to have a photo session! Kent, Jessica and I hit up a few spots to capture some awesome engagement pictures--including pictures with Kent's gorgeous truck!

Kent and Jessica are the sweetest couple--two of the nicest people and just perfect for each other!

Thanks so much for a great time you guys!! I had so much fun! I can't wait for your wedding in April! I had such a hard time narrowing down my favorites--lets just say these are my favorites for the day! The rest of the images will be up by the end of the week!

Kent and Jessica are such happy people it took them a awhile to figure out how not to smile. Once they figured it out they did amazing--I love this picture!

This was one of the first pictures I took--I know I'm going to have a good session when it starts out so great!

Busy Times!

Between our house project, client meetings, photo shoots and life in general, things have been go, go, GO lately! Hang with me--this weekend I have a three month old photo session with one of my favorite little fellas and also an engagement session which will include an awesome car and/or truck. I've got lots of ideas for these sessions so check back to see the results! There will also probably be some house updates soon--ya'll haven't even seen the second story! I'm way behind in keeping you posted--sorry!

Here is a random picture for your Thursday night viewing pleasure--I'm off to go work on the house!
I sure miss the summer time colors! This is the view from Rascal's back on a trail ride in Eastern Washington last summer from my little point and shoot camera with no Photoshop work. I sure hope we can go again some day! Looking at the picture--I'm not quite sure why it looks like Rascal has a mohawk but I assure you he does not!

New House: Framing Part 2

Thought I'd give you all a bit of an update on our new house! These pictures are from 1-2 weeks ago so there has been a lot of work done since then, but you can at least get a feel for the progress being made! Joe, from JM Structures who is building our house, and Bernie who is helping to frame the house have done an awesome job!! Everyday I come home and so much more work has been done. I can't believe how much work can be done in one day! Thanks guys!!

They had the walls of all of the rooms drawn out on the floor like this--I thought it was fun to walk around from room to room imagining the different rooms. The next thing I knew, all of the walls were built!! Now it is even more fun! I believe the below picture depicts my walk-in pantry and the corner my office--two rooms I can't wait to have!!

Check out my master bed room! I can't until my chocolate suede curtains are up on those windows!
The animals are quite convinced we are building them a 2,300 square foot jungle gym!
The living room walls and ceiling are SO high!! Do they make 25' long dusting tools?

My sister thought the house looked like a temple to the heavens at this stage--I'm hoping once the second story gets finished in the next couple weeks things will even out a bit and we'll look a little less temple-esque!

PS--the walls are green because we've used some sort of fancy-pants building material to sheet the house with. I try to stay on top of all of the building terms, but the name of this product has escaped me. No worries, the house isn't actually going to be this color...it is going to be much, much, much darker!!!
