Happy Anniversary! | Lynden Wedding Photographer

This is my favorite Maui people-picture.  I love it for several reasons:

A.  They had no idea I took it—my favorite type of picture.

B.  These two are awesome!

C.  There is a third little person in the picture, but you can’t see him or her because he or she is not showing his or her face until August and I can’t wait!

D.  Can’t you just tell how much Kent cares for Jessica by the way he is holding her?

E.  Who doesn’t love a little kissing in the middle of a road in Maui?  Seriously.

So happy first anniversary (just a few days late) to Kent & Jessica!  I can’t believe it has already been a year since your wedding!

Talia & Bruce | Bellingham Engagement Photographer

Perfect couple.  Perfect lighting.  Perfect location.  What an awesome engagement session we had on Saturday as Talia, Bruce and I wandered around downtown Bellingham laughing and getting to know each other.

These two are so adorable together!  I love photographing couples who are so genuine in front of the camera—it is so fun to capture their love and affection for each other.  I can’t wait for their wedding this fall!  Thanks so much Talia and Bruce—you two are fantastic!

T Turned 3 | Bellingham Children Photography

Since my blog is a place for photography related life as well as my personal life, I’m documenting a big event today.  Just for me.  Just to remember what I was thinking about on 4/3/2010.  My sweet little niece turned three this month!  I can’t even believe how fast time has flow since she was born!  T has brought so much joy and laughter to our family—a true blessing! 

T’s favorite things right now include pink (and lots of it), reading books, riding her horse Cookie and hanging out with her cousins.  When she comes over to our house I love how she wants to play “fast” (running around in circles with me), throw Diesel’s ball for him, play with the horses, color, read books, do craft projects and jump on the bed.  T is so good at talking on the phone now and following directions.  She is super smart—she knows her numbers, letters, colors and shapes.  She can even tell me what letter a word starts with by sounding it out.  My favorite part is that she knows she has two letters for her name(s), T (for T) and G (for Gabrielle) and she is so proud of it. 

I love you little Raspberry!  Happy Birthday!

Willis Family | Bellingham Family Photographer

I love to photograph families!  It is so fun to see little ones run around and have fun and watch how parents love on their children. This weekend I got photograph several beautiful families including the Willis family.  Mariel and Daniel are so much bigger than they were last spring when I photographed Daniel’s newborn pictures.   I just love their big eyes and curious nature.  The best part is that these two are expecting a new brother or sister this September!  I can’t wait to meet the new little one!

Thank you so much to James, Rachel, Mariel and Daniel for a wonderful time—I’m so glad we avoided the rain for most of the session!

So beautiful!  Mariel is just precious!

Mariel and Daniel are the cousins of T and Jelly (my nieces) which pretty much make them my adopted niece and nephew.  I  love this picture of all four of them.  This picture is perfect in everyway!  The older girls are so happy to see each other, Jelly can’t figure out what is going on and Daniel is making his get-a-way.  The best pictures to me are the ones that capture each child’s personality at that particular stage of their life.  I’ve never experienced a child that just sat around smiling all the time so pictures like this make my day!

Kohen – Baby Session | Lynden Baby Photographer

Little Kohen is already 10 months old!  I just love watching these little ones grow and learn.  Kohen is standing, exploring his world and taking it all in with his big blue eyes!  It was so much fun to see him checking out the creek and playing on the tractor at our session at Berthusen Park.  Kohen’s parents, Jordan and Stacy, just adore him and it is so wonderful to see how he lights up their eyes.

Thanks so much to Kohen, Stacy and Jordan (and Grandma!) for a wonderful session this Saturday!  I can’t wait to see how big Kohen is in a couple months!
