Creative Stoneworks

Last week I got the opportunity to do some more commercial work for Creative Stoneworks for use on their new website--http://www.creativestoneworksnw.com/. I took some pictures around their show room, fabrication shop and stone yard. Here are a few of my favorites!

The quick way to dry stone--heat it up!
A stone prepared for a rod to be inserted into the underside of the slab in order to protect it from cracks.

A whole selection of samples to sort through!

The finishing touches on rodding the stone--a steady hand pouring in the epoxy to hold the stainless steel rod in place.

Polishing pads also make great wall art!

Check out these bright colored stones--I think the red one would also make great wall art!

An overview shot in the fabrication shop--two CNC machines for perfect fabrication.

Slabs waiting to be fabricated. See that bright tricolored one in the middle? I call it the "the CRAZY stone" and I sorta want to put it in our new kitchen...

I can't wait until this baby rolls up to our new house with a delivery for us!!! Only a couple more months...

Thanks for letting me come photograph your great business!!
P.S. If you are looking for pictures from Kent and Jessica's wedding, they are coming SOON! So keep checking back in the next couple days for a sneak peak.

Senior Pictures--Jared Part 1

This Sunday I had a great time hanging out with Jared and his mom at Whatcom Falls Park. Jared is super talented in many areas and has a great sense of style. Here are just a couple of my favorite pictures--it's after midnight so I'll post more when the rest of the session images are done!

This new house we are building keeps holding me hostage as I stain, paint and clean resulting in very few hours of sleep each night--I'll post some house update pictures soon!

Thanks for being so awesome Jared--you were up for anything, even sliding through the mud and it resulted in some awesome pictures! I can't to show the rest!

PS--I told Jared he should skip medical school and start modeling! Maybe he can do both?

201st Post and Some Cuteness!

I can't believe this is my 201st post on this blog! Time flies when you are having fun! Well...it hasn't flown by the last two days as Brandon and I have caught a nasty flu big. FYI: Flu+Travel Trailer+Out House = Two seriously home-sick people. We can not wait until our house is finished. It will make everything..even sickness, better.

On a brighter note--here are few more pictures from Little Miss T's almost two session! Enjoy!

T is learning to enjoy the world from different perspectives!

T with the family dog--Hunter.

I still can't figure out when T went from being a baby to a little girl! I'm excited to see her turn into an amazing young lady but I'll always cherish the time I had with my baby niece. Love ya T!

Martin Family

On Sunday I had a mini session with a great family to celebrate a 70th birthday and an almost complete family gathering! We had a great time even if it was quick and cold! We just escaped the rain by literally a couple minutes. Thanks so much to the Martin family for being so fun--hope we can do it again sometime! This is my favorite of the session because I love the relaxed nature of it...I love to capture the relationships and interactions between family members. You can check all of the session images here or by clicking on the Online Ordering button above.

Sneak Peak: T's Almost 2!

I can't believe T is almost two!! A couple weeks ago while washing some laundry at my sister's house (ah, the joys of living in a travel trailer!) I grabbed by camera,, my mom, my sister and T for a little photo session. Here is a little sneak peak--Nana is now in Nicaragua on a missions trip, my sister has a horrible flu/cold and is 8 months pregnant and little T is just getting over her own version of the flu. Hope you all get home safe and feel better soon! Stayed tuned for more pictures from this session as well as from T's birthday party in a few weeks.

Metamorphosis

It's begun! The process of turning a furry, dirty, winter snowball into a sleek, shiny summer coat has started--I can't wait until the process is over (all that flying hair is a bit abnoxious!), but I'm so thankful it has started! Now I just hope the grass starts turning green...look at the difference in these pictures--taken at about the same spot in the field (but from opposite angles...that is why there are only trees in one of the pictures)!

Are there any signs of spring around your house?
