What a beautiful fall day we had on Saturday for Rob and Sarah’s wedding!  I was so thrilled to be photographing this wedding not only because it was beautiful and the couple is gorgeous, but because these are friends of mine.  I couldn’t be happier that Rob and Sarah have found each other.  When the two are around each other their eyes sparkle and their laughter and smile are infectious.  You two are perfect fit and I was so blessed to be able to document your love this weekend.  Thanks for letting me be part of your big day!

Sarah has the best wedding “shoes” ever—perfectly suited to her and comfortable!

This is why couples make a great decision when they decide to do a “first look” before the ceremony—this expression is priceless!  Sarah and Rob got to enjoy each other, relax and have fun before the ceremony during the pictures instead of rushing through pictures to get to the reception.

A special moment between Sarah and her son.

I’m slightly biased because my niece was the flower girl—but she was definitely the cutest flower girl ever!  Here she is copying the bride—because if Auntie Sarah needs to hold up her dress, so does she!

I LOVE these flowers and custom made sheppard's hooks to hold them on along the aisle.  So beautiful!

Sarah’s bouquet was stunning and it looked so pretty right here on Sarah’s barrel racing saddle.

My favorite ceremony image—how can you beat such a personal touch at your ceremony—I love it when couples make their weddings really reflect who they are.

The reception was full of dancing, karaoke, and fantastic dance moments.  According to this sweet thing’s mom this little girl learned her dance moves from her dad and boy could she dance…and pose!  So cute!

Thanks again to Rob, Sarah and both of your families!  You truly made me feel like family and I love you for it!

Janna – Senior | Ferndale Senior Session Photographer

Being a senior in high school is such an exciting time—lots of work to do, lots of playing to do and a great deal of anticipation regarding things to come!  I just love shooting high school seniors!  I love to see the excitement on their faces, get to know them and hear about the adventures they are planning for the years to come. 

I had a great session with Janna at Tenant Lake in Ferndale this week.  She had lots of clothes, a whole entourage of sisters, nephew and mom plus she is gorgeous—what more could you ask for?  Thanks so much Janna for a great session—you even risked your ankles walking in tall grass in high heels for me!  You are awesome!!  

Janna plays the bassoon so she brought it along for some poster images.  I couldn’t resist this one with all of the lines and angles.

Someone in the entourage spoke up that this shot was “so Janna!”—I think it is SO cute!

Kaden – Family Session | Lynden Family Photographer

Little boys are so full of mischief and smiles and I just can’t get enough of them!  This is the second session I had this weekend which included a sweet little guy!  I had a such a great time chasing around little Kaden and hanging out with his mom and dad (Megan and Brant) who I went to school with.  This age is a bit of challenge to photograph because the little ones are always on the go and ready to explore but I love capturing that adventurous spirit and the moments in between finding the next great thing to check out.

Thanks so much Megan, Brant and Kaden for such a great session—your little family is absolutely, fantastically adorable and I hope we can play again real soon!

This weekend I had the opportunity to photograph two of the most adorable little boys ever!  This is the first of the two sessions.  This little family absolutely captured my heart!  Mom and dad (Lynzi and Trent) were so sweet with and adoring of their little boy Wade.  Lynzi also rides horses and they all wore boots (even little tiny camo ones for Wade) so I knew the session was going to be fantastic from the time they stepped out of their truck.  Add to that a little blonde mohawk and I was in absolute heaven!  Thanks so much Lynzi, Trent and Wade (and sweet dog Bailey) for an awesome morning!  I loved your willingness to try anything - especially sitting in the street, which was not a dead end!
