Madelyn | Lynden Baby Photographer

I’m so blessed to spend my time with so many wonderful families!  Madelyn was so adorable this past week at Lynden City Park as we captured some great shots of her to help celebrate her one year birthday!  Madelyn’s sweet, boisterous personality just cracks me up!  She was on a mission to check out everything the park had to offer—including the swings, paths and creek.  I love watching these little ones explore the world—this is one of my favorite stages to photograph.

Jack & Tamara | Lynden Engagement Photographer

This week I had an amazing time getting to know Jack and Tamara while taking their engagement pictures in Berthusen Park.  These two are the sweetest, most loving, most adorable couple ever.  I love how they obviously adore each other!  They made my job easy and I can’t wait until their December wedding this winter.

I asked Jack if he could prove his manliness and dip Tamara—oh man did he ever dip her!  He must have great balance, because he got her inches from the ground without falling over.  Manliness proven.  Nice work Jack!

Logan | Lynden Commercial Photographer

Logan is going to be famous!  I always look forward to shooting my regular client Logan—he is absolutely adorable and has the cutest  personality with the biggest blue yes.  When his mom Jana contacted me about photographing him for billboards for Excel Pacific construction sites, I was thrilled with the opportunity.  Little Logan was a perfect model and his mom and grandma went to great lengths to ensure we captured some smiles.  I love the shots we got and I can’t wait to see them blown up big!

Kevin | Lynden Senior Photographer

Third time is a charm with this session!  The weather in this past week has not been too wonderful for outdoor portraits but we finally got Kevin’s senior pictures taken after three nights of trying.  I’m so glad we made it happen!  We did Kevin’s session at his family’s dairy farm—it was like a photographer’s playground!  I wish I could do a session there every week--so many textures and colors to play with! 

Kevin is a great guy and was wonderful to work with!  He was up for anything and is super sweet which pretty much makes him my perfect client!  Thanks so much Kevin—when you need a break from feeding calves give me a call—I love those sweet little faces.

A Little Business

I hope you are all having a great week!  I just wanted to keep you posted on a few bits of business!  I want to be sure we get your upcoming portraits and events scheduled so please keep the following things in mind when thinking about planning your photography needs:

Portrait Availability:

- There are no Saturday availabilities for sessions until September 11th.  All portrait sessions through the summer will be held on weeknights.  Availability starts June 10th.

- There are no session availabilities from July 5th through August 2nd. 

- All orders with guaranteed delivery by Christmas must be placed by November 15th 2010, including custom Christmas cards.  Please schedule your sessions prior to November 1st to meet this deadline.

Wedding Availability:

- I am booked through October 9th 2010 for weddings and fall/winter is filling up fast.  Please give me a call as soon as possible if you would like to book your 2010 wedding.

Other exciting business news:

- I was so excited to see my photograph from Donald and Caitlin’s wedding featured in the Alice Joy Events full page advertisement in the new publication North Sound Couture Weddings!  You should definitely check out the magazine it is gorgeous!

- My new website and brand makeover is just around the corner!  Start thinking teal and tangerine…we’re brightening things up around here!

And because all posts should include a new picture (especially if they coordinate with my new branding colors)—here is the gorgeous sunrise on top of Haleakala volcano in Maui.  I’m more than happy to travel to these gorgeous places to document your destination wedding—give me a call for a custom package!

Dylan | Lynden Senior Photographer

Remember Anthony’s senior pictures I showed earlier this week?  Well Saturday I got to photograph Anthony’s good friend Dylan.  I was so excited to hear from his mom that he wanted pictures taken with his truck and quad—you can tell why these guys are friends!  Dylan was so friendly, up for anything, had lots of great ideas and wasn’t afraid to get his quad dirty after spending hours cleaning it up for pictures. 

Thanks so much Dylan, Duke (his family’s sweet dog), Morgan (sister) and Carla (mom).  You all were so kind and welcoming!  I can’t wait for your family pictures this summer.  Good luck Dylan with the rest of your racing season—I hope you stay safe and bring home some more trophies!

I told Dylan that I bet his racing scares his mom half to death—he informed me that all he can hear when he is racing is her cheering him on louder than anyone else.  Carla—you are an awesome (and brave!) mom!
